IM BACK! | Chad Bell aka LouAlcindor

Well after two months your boy CB is back in the building. As you all know I was in Sibiu Romania playing basketball. You may be asking why am I back so early well lets just say the situation out there was not for me at all, so that is why I returned back to the States. And lets just say I am proud to be an American. So many changes have happened since I left, wow we actually have a black president. Congratulations to Barack Obama. I am mad that I missed out the opportunity of witnessing history here in person. From what I was told the atmosphere was phenomenal. It is always good to see black people and our entire country as well come together as a whole.

But back to my experience playing ball over in Romania. Personally I feel that it was an overall horrible experience. The team I played for was a very unprofessional organization with zero class about themselves. The coach and the owner did not even get along, it seems as if they actually damn near hated each other so that was a red flag in it self. Upon arriving in the town I wanted to turn around as fast as I came in. I was picked up from the airport and taken to my hotel, only problem was it was more of a Figueroa (see South Central Los Angeles) motel prairie shack.

This place was terrible, I actually thought they were playing some type of joke on me but when the team official who help me with my bags to my room dropped my bags and left I figured out that this was no joke. To give you a little insight on what the room looked like, just picture a slightly bigger ragedy ass dorm room. Not your nice dorm room, it was the room in the building of the worse dorm on campus type of room. You know the dorms they move the people in who registered for classes and housing like the day classes started. Ummm yeah it was that bad. But I have not given you all the best part of this terrible ass room. They had me sleeping on this hard ass bed that felt like it was cement with a thin ass cushion mat on it. And it was nothing more than two twin beds pushed together, mind you I am 7 feet tall so pretty much my feet were hanging over the bed inches a way from the floor. So it was not like I was laying down more like sitting down. Lol. And my bathroom was literally 8 x 8 x 8 x 8 like seriously. My shower was just an area you stepped up to with a shower handle and not a curtain in sight. And the water did not get hot, it was luke warm at best so alot of times I took cold showers in a room with no heat. So yeah it was terrible living. Mind you I was suppose to stay in this room for three days before I moved into my apartment. And you guessed it, that did not happen I was in the room with no heat and no hot water for two weeks. So I finally moved into my apartment and come to find out their was somebody already living in the apartment, yes you guessed it right it had some creepy crawlers roaming around there.

Straight roaches! Just when I finally had got some type of comfort I gotta deal wit big ass roaches. So you know I had to pull that Inglewood side out and bang on the owner of the apartment for having me move in and he knew he had them damn roaches in there before I got there. So I told him to fix the problem or else I am out, I don’t care about a lease. So that was my living situation but as far as the basketball part it was another story in it self. It was not what I expected it to be. I thought things would be more organized. I thought practice would be more structured and also the individual development would me more advanced. I had better coaching when I first started playing organized basketball when I was 11 years old, it was that terrible. We did the exact same thing everyday in practice in the exact same order. We started practice with three man weave, 3 on 2- 2 on 1 drill, 11 man break, and then we have the worse scrimmages in basketball till the end of the practice. I felt like I was caught in the matrix. As for the games things started off well for me, my first game I had 12 points and 8 rebounds in 21 minutes. When we played one of the top teams from Turkey (Bandbit) in the euro challenge I had 8 points and 8 rebounds in 18 minutes. But in other games my coach will barely play me leaving in his starters the whole game. This raised a red flag with me because I did not fly across the globe to sit on nobodies bench, I came to start and put up numbers. After several talks with the coach I saw that things were not gone ever change because he had his favorites on the team that were established before I even stepped foot on the plane to go out there. So at this point in my career I had to do what was best for me and come back home to the states. I plan to just train until I decide whither I am going back overseas or try the D League again. So this is why I am back so early. Did ya miss me?(Varnell Hill voice for the Martin fans). To all my peeps in twitter land and those who follow me here I missed yall dearly, but do not worry I am going to pick up where we left off.

Im baaaaaaaaaaack!
