A Dream Deffered

“What happens to a dream deffered? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore –then run”?

If you have never read the poem or heard the words, somehow they seem to evoke emotion.  “Harlem” was written by Langston Hughes as a warning.  Often we grow weary and lose sight of our goals because of all the “stuff” we have going on.  So what’s the difference between those who soar to levels of unparallel success and others who spend their lives asking what happened?  We all know the answer and know very well how to prevent failure.  It’s all about choices.

Climbing mountains

When God put us on the earth he gave all of us the greatest gift, the gift of FREE WILL.  No matter where you were born, who your parents are, or economic and social status you have the god given ability to move mountains.  The problem lies in you we tell ourselves that our dreams are too difficult and go to desperate lengths to convince each other why we can’t accomplish goals.  If we take time to listen to the disparity the world gives us yes of course its easy to fall off track and succumb to the stereotypes and pre conceived notions set to trap you.  The testament of a great person is the ability to rise above all the traps and bull in this world and hone in your abilities to be great.

It’s my belief that everyone has “what it takes”  don’t wait on others to tell you your great, it has been scientifically proven that the average human only uses 10% of their brain just imagine what we could accomplish if we hone in on the other 90%.  I don’t claim to be any type of motivational speaker but I know that sometimes we all need encouragement.  You don’t owe it to anyone but yourself to challenge yourself daily and push yourself to new heights.
