More Obama Drama. Who else want it with Obama? Jesse Jackson apparently

“See, Barack been, um…talking down to black people on this faith based…I wanna cut his nuts off. Barack, he’s talking down to black people.”
No my friends, that did not come from the mouth of Arizona senator and Republican presidential candidate John McCain. It came from former presidential candidate and civil rights activist, the Reverend Jesse Jackson
Jackson told The Associated Press that he doesn’t remember his exact words, except to say he was trying to explain that Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters by recently conducting moral lectures at African-American churches. He was being interviewed about health care by a Fox News reporter on July 6th, 2008 when he was asked his opinion about Obama speaking in black churches, leading to his remarks. In a statement Jackson said, “For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.”[38] Jackson’s son, Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL), national co-chair of Obama’s presidential campaign, immediately rejected what he termed as his father’s “ugly rhetoric.
So, should we be surprised that the good reverend has inserted foot in mouth, as he has before when remarking about Jews. I mean this is a man that inserted another part of his anatomy into one Karin Stafford, prompting his “Rainbow Coalition” to pay $15,000 in movie expenses and $21,000 in contracting work. I mean I seem to remember rapper/actor Ice Cube on the Westside Connection single “Lights Out” commenting “Keep ya payments up, pay yo child support, put a rubber on, and don’t fuck with us”
That last phrase would be a very viable comment that the Barack Obama camp could make towards Jackson. Why is he messing with Obama’s ability to gain momentum and push for the White House .Furthermore, if I’m not mistaken, isn’t his son national co-chairman of Obama’s presidential campaign. Now he puts his son in the unenviable task of trying to put out the firestorm his dad has created.
Obama, for his part, has been very much the statesmen and accepted Jackson’s apology. But it shouldn’t come to that. That’s the problem with us as minorities in this country. Instead of banding together for the greater good, we hate. It almost seems like Jesse is trying to sabotage Obama. I think it’s something different.
I think Jesse Jackson laments the fact that he could not do what Barack Obama’s doing. I know 1984 was a different
time than 2008. It is the way life progresses, it is how times change. Sometimes, it’s better to not say nothing at all. Because, to be honest, even though you retracted it, we know that’s how you feel, at least in that moment. Just do us a favor and keep it to yourself. I mean, Mr. Jackson, do you think you have any credibility or relevance within the Black community. You are living off the legacy of what you did in the past. I do not discount your Civil Rights activism during your time and work with Dr. King.
But you’re doing ten times more to kill the dream by opening your mouth instead of “shutting the f**k up” and let us be witnesses to history. This country needs the mind, soul, and ideals of Barack Obama to initiate the change this country so desperately needs. But that will not happen if an old fossil from a long forgotten era keeps trying to “put himself over” and doesn’t look in his own backyard .Be glad he has morals, Jesse Jackson. He’ll be a richer man for it, both in mind and financially. How’s that working for ya?….DAMN!!! Late
