Throwing Up The “W” | Fox News Exposed as White House Tool
July 30, 2008 · Print This Article
So, all those out in the real world, are we really surprised that the White House is nothing more than a big “hype” machine. Boy, when the car breaks down, the wheels really start coming off.
Propaganda, by definition, is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of large number of people. So what the “W” is trying to pull basically is a smoke and mirrors job aimed at deflecting any responsibility for the quagmire this country is currently embroiled in.
Am I surprised? No. As the old saying goes “Don’t believe everything you see, hear or read. “But to me, it speaks to a larger problem once again. News has for last decade been much more hype than substance. All levels of reporting have dug to debts of yellow journalism never before heard of, just in the pursuit of the almighty rating. As someone who took and takes great pride in my journalistic experience in both high school and college (and here at TCJ), this is especially distressing.
And really, it didn’t have to be FOX News. It could’ve been MSNBC or CBS or whomever. But now that this revelation has come out, do we stop believing anything from news media(not that Bill OReilly was ever credible). We were all taught about integrity, values, morals. And now we find that the commander in chief and his band of merry men have hoodwinked and bamboozled us since day one of this administration. Wait, I realize it’s nothing new for politicians to lie to us. Then again, would you expect anything less from a former cokehead like the “W”. All they do is lie. Only this time he wants us all to believe it and leads us down the brim rose path like cows to the slaughter. Don’t trip though America. In less than six months, we’ll be painting the White House black. And that’s change you can believe in. Late
