Little Foxes of Faith pt. 2
The next issue that many Christians face is WORRY. People believe that when you worry about something it shows that you care or that is of importance to you, but that is the exact opposite. The word of God teaches us that we’re not supposed to worry about anything.
WORRY- concerned, anxious, troubled easy.
Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus speaks to his people telling us that he cares for us
I Peter 5:7 Tells us to cast our cares on him.
Worrying never changes circumstances and it is the opposite of Faith, where worry abides Faith cannot live.
Quite similar to worry FEAR is a gripping emotion that renders Christians powerless when you should be fighting. A good illustration on fear operating against faith is the story when Jesus commanded Peter to walk on water with him. Jesus said “Be of good cheer! It is I: do not be afraid.
FEAR- be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or outcome of events.
When you find yourself in a difficult situation and you feel the spirit of fear coming on you bind it and command it to flee because fear is not of God and therefore has no legal right to dwell in you.
Matthew 14:22-33 Jesus gave Peter the authority and power to walk on water, once Peter let his emotions grab hold of him he began to sink. The same is true in our lives today, God has given us power to move mountains but many of us are just so afraid to step out on Faith we spend our whole lives wondering what could’ve been instead of trusting God and living life to our maximum potential. Jesus goes on to say “O you of little faith why did you doubt?” Fear has become one of the greatest down falls of many people fear of succeeding of failing; I don’t know what it is. Whenever you find yourself wanting to give up think about the words Jesus asked Peter WHY DOUBT? Do you not trust your heavenly father enough to know that if you trust him completely and obey his word he will never let you fail? There is no failing when you live in Christ.
Philippians 4:13 Says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” we see it throughout the scripture God telling us his children to have faith and trust in him.
The difference between people who succeed tremendously in life and those that don’t is simply those who operate in Fear and those who go for the gusto. As a Child of God you must understand you already have the upper hand in any situation and in any battle, once you understand that and operate in it you will be able to conquer and overcome any obstacle.
Ask yourself what’s the difference between FEAR & RESPECT.

Song of Solomon 2:15 tell us to Catch the little foxes that spoil the vines….
Spoil -Destroy and corrupt
Un- forgivenessnever carry un-forgivenessUnforgiveness is a poison the enemy uses against us and it will consume you if you don’t rid yourself of it
Matthew 18:23-35is a parable that illustrates 3 pts. Ephesians 4:32God forgives us time and time again so we must also forgive one another.
The mercy of God b) The liability of un-forgiveness c) how far we must go to get our acts together
I John 1:9Another matter that has to be dealt with is self loathing and not being able to forgive yourself, Jesus said he will forgive all your sins once you confess them. The problem most Christians have is that they don’t forgive themselves and you allow the guilt of your past to keep you in bondage. When you confess your sins God cleanses you. By faith you have to see yourself as cleansed no matter how you feel on the inside. DON’T FEEL GULITY ABOUT NOT FEELING GUILTY. You must also remember that it is Satan’s duty to bring up your past to plant thoughts in your head to make you feel like you’re not forgiven but, know this God sees you as the blessed and righteous therefore you must also see yourself in that manner.
*Remember always that forgiving is an act of will. WHAT WILL YOU DO?*
Back Again!

Well! Well! Well! It has certainly been a very long time since I have submitted on the site. I am sure you all may have be wondering where the hell I been. Well just simple and plain, I NEEDED A DAMN BREAK! Lol. Yeah your boy CB aka Lou Alcindor got kind of burned out as far as writing is concerened. But alot has been going on since my last submission. I have been reinvented and I feel like a new man. I am happy to say that the year of 2009 thus far has been very good to me. I see alot of good things coming my way. It all started with the New Year. Normally during this time I am somewhere partying drunk out of my mind but this year me and my good buddy TCJ Fresh went to church. Yeah you got it right, we brought in the New Year with God and some good people. **Shot out to First Church of God in Inglewood Cali.** I am happy to say that I have been blessed with a new job since the start of the year, which has also kept me away from writing. You may be wondering what happened to my basketball ambitions? Nothing at all, it is still my passion and I hope that opportunities will open up for me this coming summer. We will see! But until then I am going to keep my day job because it is what pays the bill during these economic times. You will be proud to know that I partcipated in the lent season with my church. I decided to give up tv, music(all non gospel),partying, drinking, junk food, sex(not suppose to have it outside of marriage anyway according to the word) and fried chicken. I started on March 1st and it ended April 12th. And needless to say this period was full of trials and tribulations. There were times were I wanted to just break down and leave the fast. See I decided to do a fast at a crucial point in basketball season. The NBA games around this time of the year begin to heat up as team start playing for good positioning in the playoffs. And of course college basketball has its March Madness in route to the Final Four and National Championship. For the first time I could remember in my entire life I missed watching this sporting event on television. Only thing I know is the North Carolina Tarheels won the title. I have no clue the journey they went through to get the title. And I will not even tell you how oblivious I am to what is going on in the NBA but as long as my Lakers are winning I am straight.

During this period since I was not watching tv at all I spent alot of time reading and in prayer. Of course I read my bible but I also have been reading this amazing book many of you are probally are familiar with called The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. This is an amazing life changing book. This book has and is still is revealing alot to me about myself. Its obvious where the book wants to take the reader just based off the title alone. I now better understand the meaning of my life and have gotten some answers on my purpose. I am going to focus more on living like Christ and being good to others. That does not mean I am going to be holier than thou, I am flesh I will make mistakes. But my goal is to make some type of improvement every step of the way. The dopest part of my spiritual journey was the last week. I decided the last seven days of my fast would be spent praying for others and not at all for myself. So I took the liberty of writing down every single person I was close to, friends with, and family members. I went down my list and just said special prayers for each individual.
I know that God used me in this fast because it made my prayers more powerful and I know he will bless others through my prayer. Now that this fast is over I can
honestly say my prayer life is much improved and my faith has been made strong. I have also been led with an idea for a tattoo, yall tell me what you think. I plan to get on my back a huge scene of Jesus on the cross. I really want the artist to capture the emotion of him on the cross and the whole mood. I have a certain way I think Jesus looks and I am hoping the artist also captures my description of a Jesus with a head of wool, lean with a defined body, and shabby beard. I also want the nails in his hand and feet two be very graphic including the blood, as well as the thorn crown placed on his head. Also in the scene will be the two men who were crucified along with Jesus. So if you can picture in your head what I am describing then let me know what you think. And also if you could add your ideas to it as well that would be great. If there are any artist following the site, feel free to send in your ideas and sketches.
I obviously have missed writing for The Concrete Journal, rest assure we are back in full force. We will be a forced to be reckoned with from now until forever. Stay tuned because we have alot of good things lined up for the near future. Be sure to follow me on twitter.com/loualcindor and myspace.com/mrchadbell. Peace and blessings!
