Nas - World Go Round (Feat. The Game) (Behind The Scenes)

September 22, 2008

Just looked at the behind the scene footage for the video from the song off Nas album “World Go Round” featuring Game. This song is a banger and I am glad they decided to make it a single. Nas and The Game compliment each other well on a track. Which makes me ask the question, Should Game and Nas make an album together? That would be fresh. Well if they do remember who was one of the first to through that idea out there. Peep the behind the scene footage.

Jim Jones Hates on Nas

July 27, 2008

You cannot respect Jim Jones after looking at this interview. He puts down another black man (Nas) for standing up for his people? What kind of person does that? Jim Jones does nothing for his people. And he wants to sit there and talk about getting money during a Recession. This is where alot of our so called entertainers are, it is unfortunate to see that at these times all Jones cares about having more money to make during these times.

There are bigger issues right now especially considering the fact that he is not hurting for money like the average Joe is right now. After watching this clip Jimmy has lost all if any respect that he had.

My Thoughts on O’Reilly’s Response to Nas

July 25, 2008

I just watched Bill O’Reilly’s response to Nas’ protest outside of the Fox News Studios in New York. It is great that my man Nas even got a response it shows that what he is doing has gotten these peoples attention. This news clip only further shows that O’Reilly is in fact a racist, he is never has anything good to say about blacks as a whole. If Nas keeps up his war against these networks it will definitely cause an revolution and in turn African Americans will be more united. We cannot let these issues be swept under the rug by the media. I personally like Nas is tired of being mis-portrayed in the media. Its time that we are represented by the people we really are and thats intelligent, smart and successful people.

We really need to come together and join Nas and go to war with Fox and all the other networks. Lets stand up! And I am going to say this proudly.

FUCK THE FOX NEWS NETWORK! AND FUCK ALL THE OTHER NEWS NETWORKS! And most importantly. FUCK YOU BILL O’REILLY!

They never should’ve gave that boy a mic… Im glad they did though | Nas protest against Fox

July 24, 2008

nas460Hip-hop artist Nas is protesting Fox News’s coverage of Barack Obama.

The rapper joined members of the activist groups MoveOn.org and ColorofChange.org to deliver more than 600,000 petitions Wednesday to the network’s New York City headquarters.

Nas, whose new album Untitled was released last week, said in a statement that “Fox poisons the country with racist propaganda and tries to call it news.”

The network responded by saying, “Fox News believes in all protesters exercising their right to free speech including Nas who has an album to promote.” Fox also noted that its anchor Bill Hemmer was scheduled to interview Obama this weekend.

Last month, Fox News referred in a graphic to Michelle Obama, the wife of the Democratic presidential candidate, as “Obama’s baby mama.” Later, the network said a producer “exercised poor judgment” during the segment.

So, does this surprise anyone out there? There is one thing I can honestly say so far in my tenure here at TheConcreteJournal. Everything written is from the heart and ethical.

I mean, mainstream media couldn’t wait to get a black man in to prominence so they could use every clever little piece of vernacular they could come across or poke fun at a “pound” given” between a husband and wife. Give me a break!

The most troubling part is that we as a society keep brushing it under the rug and allowing it to be acceptable behavior not unlike what has come from the pie hole of one Don Imus previously. Oh, and I’m sure the only reason Nas went out there was to promote his album(which might I add is only “Untitled” because it makes some white folks uncomfortable that he wanted to use his first amendment right and name it..Well you know.

See, White America, minorities are much more intelligent than you will give us credit for. You don’t like the ones that are non conformist and deem them “radicals” or oh, I don’t know. Help me out white people. You know all the popular minority jargon. I mean, you like to hang at the “crib” and “chill” with yo’ “n*ggas”, talking about your no good “baby’s mamas”, ya feel me?

What’s that? Oh, that’s not what you meant? It was an “error” in judgement? Hmmm…I guess the slave trade was an error in judgement, racism is an error in judgement, and the war in Iraq was an error in…oops never mind. You like that. Anytime you can send young blacks and latinos to a foreign land to fight “your war “and have them come home in a bag or box, that’s fine.FOX, you’re just mad that you got called out. I applaud Nas for what he did. He used his celebrity to push something that needs to be exposed and is long overdue. But I guess you would have rather he said he was going to “cut off Barack’s nuts” than take a stand and show solidarity. Jesse Jackson may be a “reverend”. But, in this case, I’m rollin’ with “God’s Son”. Cause he does deal in “propaganda”, he deals in fact. Late
